Lapi Sign (sign.lapillc.com) is the document-signing service LAPI LLC ("Lapi") uses for agreements made through Lapi Exchange, such as non-disclosure and data license agreements. These terms cover your use of it. The agreement you sign is governed by its own terms.

Electronic signatures

By signing through Lapi Sign, you agree to do business electronically: to receive documents and notices electronically and to sign them electronically. Your electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten one, under the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).

You can ask for a paper copy of any document, or withdraw your consent before you sign, by emailing hello@lapillc.com. To view and sign you need a current web browser and an email address.

Your signing link

Each signing link is personal to one signer. Don't forward it. If you receive a link meant for someone else, tell us at hello@lapillc.com.

The signing record

When a document is completed, every signer receives a copy by email, with an audit log. The log records each signer's name, email address, IP address, browser, and the time of each step, and a fingerprint of the document that shows it hasn't changed. Lapi keeps signed documents and their logs for as long as the agreement lasts plus seven years.

Privacy

We use the information above only to prepare, sign and evidence the document, and to send you signing emails. It's stored on Lapi's servers in the United States and isn't sold or shared beyond the parties to the document and the service providers that host it. Open-source software

Lapi Sign is built on DocuSeal, open-source software licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL-3.0). Lapi's version changes its appearance only. You can download the source code of Lapi's modifications here; DocuSeal's own source is on GitHub.
